The Gelco Multi-Flue caps cover two or more flues on a single crown, sized by overall crown dimensions rather than individual flue tile.

To identify your cap, look for the stamped Gelco logo on the skirt or mesh band. If the logo’s worn off, measure the flue tile outside dimensions, not the cap itself. Signs Your Gelco Chimney Cap Installation Is Failing

• Rust streaks running down the brickwork. Gelco galvanized caps begin rusting at the mesh weld points after 12-18 years in Chicago’s climate. Once rust starts, the cap is shedding metal particles into your flue and the mesh is weakening. Stainless models don’t rust, but their mounting hardware can if mixed with dissimilar metals.
